Ana Maçã

(Portuguesa - São João da Madeira, 1994)

Ana Maçã é artista visual, cujo trabalho, influenciado por movimentos do manga alternativo como gekiga e avant-garde manga, envolve questões de apropriação de imagem numa vertente experimental.
Formada em Artes Plásticas pela ESAD das Caldas da Rainha, frequenta actualmente o mestrado em Design Gráfico e Projectos Editoriais pela Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.
Participou recentemente na antologia All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace, vencedora do 6º concurso interno da Chili com Carne - Toma lá 500 paus e faz uma BD! Que foi também nomeada para o prémio de BD Alternativa do Angoulême International Comics Festival.

Ana Maçã

(Portuguese - São João da Madeira, 1994)

Ana Maçã is a visual artist, working under the influence of alternative and avant-garde manga movements, such as gekiga. She focusses often on appropriation issues as na experimental practice. She studied Visual Arts in ESAD, Caldas da Rainha, and she’s presently enrolled in a master’s on Graphic Design and Editorial Projects at the Fine Arts Faculty of Porto.
She has work in the collective publication All Watched Over by Machines Of Loving Grace, a project that won the 6th Chili Com Carne award “Toma lá 500 paus e faz uma BD!”. This publication was also a nominee at the 2020 Angoulême International Comics Festival, in the Alternative Comics category.
