Portuguesa - Lisboa)“Arquiteta de formação, também estudei pintura e ilustração científica. Participei em diversas exposições, obtendo alguns prémios de ilustração científica e de natureza. Tenho presença constante nos concursos da casa da ciência e do FIIN (Festival Internacional de Imagens da Natureza). A última exposição em que participei, que ainda está a decorrer, desde 2020, no Museu de História Natural de Lisboa, “Illustrare: Viagens da Ilustração Científica em Portugal”, foram expostas obras dos mais conceituados ilustradores de Portugal ao longo dos tempos.
A paixão pelos animais é cada vez mais forte e agora quero servir-me da ilustração para ajudar a proteger, a alertar e a ser mais ativa na defesa dos animais, procurando evitar a sua extinção no planeta.
Por outro lado, também tenho em mim um gosto pelo estranho e pelo bizarro, que por vezes se manifesta noutro tipo de ilustração, misturando espécies animais, aproveitando especificidades anatómicas, ou mesmo situações estranhas, mas sempre ligadas ao mundo animal e ao ciclo da vida, com a criação e a morte. "

(Portuguese - Lisboa)“I am an architect, but I also studied painting and scientific illustration. I participated in several exhibitions, obtaining some awards for scientific and nature illustration. I am constantly present at the House of Science and FIIN (International Nature Images Festival) competitions. The last exhibition I participated in, which is still running since 2020, at the Natural History Museum in Lisbon, “Illustrare: Journeys of Scientific Illustration in Portugal”, featured works by the most renowned illustrators in Portugal throughout time.
The passion for animals is growing stronger and now I want to use the illustration to help protect, alert and be more active in defending animals, trying to prevent their extinction on the planet.
On the other hand, I also have a taste for the strange and bizarre, which sometimes manifests itself in other types of illustrations, mixing animal species, taking advantage of anatomical specificities, or even strange situations, but always linked to the animal world and the cycle of life. , with creation and death. "
